This startup was designed from the beginning to have a positive impact that transcends our products. While nutrition is important, we believe as a business we have responsibilities that go beyond that. The goal is to make the best microgreens possible through the use of technology and constant innovation. We want our products to help tackle key challenges the world is facing.
Our microgreens are:
Charitable.
We’re small but we want to establish deep roots in the community. Every single purchase helps. We pledge to give 5% of net proceeds from each package to local charities. The best part is you get to have a say in which charities we support! Polls are held on our Instagram, follow us @allpaverticalfarms.
Sustainable.
Staying environmentally focused is one of our core values. That’s why our containers are 100% compostable and our systems are designed for maximum efficiency. By using hydroponics, we are able to use 90% less water compared to conventional farming methods, thus reducing the carbon footprint our microgreens have on the environment.
Local.
Being your local microgreen grower is our goal. That doesn’t just mean being in Calgary. It means sourcing products that are made in Alberta or at least Canada. This also means we have a shorter supply chain which is good for the environment and ties back to being sustainable. Our microgreens are grown in controlled environments which means we can grow year round, regardless of the weather.
